1. Booking & Payment

Reservations are confirmed once we have received your booking details and a deposit or full payment. We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card, or cash on the day of the flight (subject to prior agreement). Prices are quoted in Moroccan Dirham (MAD) with an indicative Euro (EUR) equivalent based on current exchange rates.

2. Weather Cancellation & Refunds

Hot air balloon flights are entirely weather-dependent. The decision to fly is taken by the pilot in command on the morning of the flight, based on wind speed, visibility, and overall safety conditions. If your flight is cancelled by us for weather or any other safety reason, you have two options:

• Reschedule to another available date during your stay, free of charge.
• Receive a full refund of any payment made for the flight.

3. Cancellation by Guest

If you need to cancel your booking:

• More than 48 hours before flight: full refund.
• 24–48 hours before flight: 50% refund.
• Less than 24 hours: no refund (the flight slot is held for you and other guests are turned away).

No-shows on the morning of the flight are non-refundable.

4. Health & Passenger Requirements

For your safety and the safety of other passengers, the following restrictions apply:

• Minimum age: 6 years old. Children must be able to stand in the basket and hold the handles during landing.
• Maximum weight: 120 kg per passenger. We ask you to declare your weight honestly at booking — it directly affects basket load calculations and pilot safety planning.
• Pregnancy: we cannot accept passengers who are pregnant. The landing can be firm and unpredictable.
• Recent surgery: if you have had major surgery in the last 3 months, please consult your doctor and inform us before booking.
• Mobility: you must be able to climb into the basket (approximately 1.1 m high) and remain standing for the full flight.
• Intoxication: passengers who appear under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to fly. No refund applies in this case.

5. Photo & Video Release

During and after flights, our crew may take photos and short video clips for promotional purposes. By accepting these terms you consent to the use of your image in such material. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let us know on the morning of the flight and we will respect your request.

6. Liability

Marrakech by Balloon operates under full third-party liability insurance as required by the Moroccan Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile (DGAC). Our liability is limited to the value of the booking, in line with the Moroccan Civil Aviation Code and applicable international conventions. We are not liable for personal items lost or damaged during the flight, nor for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

7. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including (but not limited to) adverse weather, civil unrest, government regulation, strikes, or pandemics. In such cases the refund/reschedule policy in clauses 2 and 3 applies.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Marrakech.
